The Lighting Projects - Project Manager is responsible for the planning, direction, execution and completion of all assigned projects.

 

 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with other team members at all levels in meeting the deliverables of assigned projects.
  • Monitors and controls assigned projects with thorough daily communication with on-site contacts to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget; anticipates and investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures.
  • Plans and organizes the support of key field positions. These include installation crews, Project Coordinators and Project Assistants.Clearly sets expectations with team members to meet the goals and timeline for assigned projects.
  • Some overnight travel may be required to ensure quality and meet customer commitments will be required.
  • Travel may vary from once a month to multiple times in the same month.
  • No weekend work required.
  • Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with customers to facilitate Lighting Project activities.
  • Participation in project meetings internally and with customers to is required.
  • Manages financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience, Skill, and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and / or at least 5 years of previous experience in project management, electrical construction or design. Previous experience in Lighting and / or Electrical is a plus.
  • An ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and thorough writing in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to comprehend, summarize, edit and analyze data for trend analysis to improve performance.
  • Ability to create, navigate, search and update Rogers Electric’s systems (work orders, reports, quotes, invoices etc, emails)
